Everything you need to know about Weej Wala partnerships, our hardware, our software, and how to charge.
Weej Wala works with partners across ten different segments — entrepreneurs, housing societies, corporate offices, parking lots, highway operators, and more — providing the EV charging hardware, software platform, installation support, and ongoing maintenance that a charging station requires. The commercial structure of each partnership is tailored to the partner’s situation and preferences. We do not operate a single fixed model. To understand what is available for your specific context, the best step is to speak directly with our partner team — reach us via the Contact page.
Submit an enquiry through our Contact page, telling us about your location, your space, and what you’re hoping to achieve. Our partner team will review your details and arrange a free, no-obligation site assessment — a visit to your location to evaluate the electrical infrastructure, space configuration, and charger suitability. The site assessment is the starting point for every conversation, and it costs you nothing.
After your initial enquiry, we conduct a free site assessment and discuss your partnership options. Once an agreement is in place, Weej Wala manages hardware procurement, installation coordination, and software onboarding through IONAGE Nexus. You and your team are trained on the dashboard before go-live. The total timeline from confirmed partnership to live station depends on the complexity of the installation — our team will give you a realistic schedule at the assessment stage.
Very little. Weej Wala’s maintenance coverage handles all technical issues — remote diagnostics via IONAGE Nexus resolve the majority of faults without a site visit, and our field team responds to hardware issues that require on-site attention. As a partner, your primary responsibility is keeping the charging bay accessible and ensuring the area around the charger remains clear. You do not need any technical expertise to manage your station day-to-day.
Pricing is configured in IONAGE Nexus and is agreed as part of your partnership terms with Weej Wala. The flexibility available for pricing configuration depends on your specific partnership structure — speak to our team about the options applicable to your arrangement.
IONAGE Nexus provides real-time status monitoring, and our team is alerted automatically when a charger goes offline or reports a fault. Remote diagnostics resolve many issues without requiring a site visit. For issues that require on-site attention, Weej Wala’s field team or Operations Partner for your area will respond — our target response time for hardware faults is communicated clearly in your partnership agreement.
Contract terms are specific to each partnership structure and are documented clearly before you commit to anything. Weej Wala is not in the business of trapping partners — we want long-term relationships built on performance and trust, not on contractual lock-in. Speak to our team about the terms applicable to your situation.
Weej Wala’s launch market is the Mumbai Metropolitan Region — covering Mumbai (all zones), Thane, Navi Mumbai, Kalyan-Dombivli, Mira-Bhayandar, and the broader MMR corridor. We are actively onboarding partners across the region. For a current picture of our network coverage, the best step is to contact our team directly.
With IONAGE Casa’s individual metering system, each resident is billed separately for the electricity they consume when charging. The society’s common electricity meter is not impacted. Each resident creates their own account on the IONAGE platform and pays directly for their charging sessions — the society is not the intermediary for any billing.
Yes. Chargers can be configured to allow access only to residents registered on the IONAGE platform via RFID card or app account. Non-residents cannot initiate a charging session without an authorised credential. Access lists are managed through the IONAGE Nexus dashboard.
Depending on the partnership structure your managing committee selects, there may be revenue-sharing arrangements in place. This is one of several options available — the managing committee’s preferences and the society’s governance framework will inform which structure is appropriate. Speak to our team for a frank discussion of what is possible.
Smart Load Management in IONAGE Nexus allows the total power draw from all chargers in the society to be capped at a level that does not exceed the building’s sanctioned electrical capacity. Even if ten residents all plug in at the same time, the total load is managed within the configured limit.
Yes — and the time to install is before every resident has an EV, not after. Starting now means the infrastructure and the processes are in place before demand creates pressure. When the fifth, tenth, and twentieth EV arrives in your society, adding capacity to an existing system is straightforward. A small installation today is the right foundation for the larger system your society will eventually need.
Weej Wala stations are listed on the IONAGE App — download it from the App Store or Google Play, create an account, and use the map to find the nearest available charging point. Your IONAGE App account also handles payment, session tracking, and support — it is the single tool you need for everything related to charging at a Weej Wala station.
The IONAGE App supports digital payment via UPI, credit/debit card, and prepaid wallet. For stations configured with RFID access, a prepaid RFID card can also be used. The specific payment methods available at any given station are shown in the IONAGE App before you start your session.
Weej Wala AC chargers use a Type 2 connector with a 5-metre cable — compatible with most Indian-market passenger EVs and two-wheelers with a Type 2 port. Weej Wala DC fast chargers support CCS2 and CHAdeMO — covering Tata, Mahindra, Hyundai, Kia, MG, BYD, and the vast majority of EVs currently sold in India.
Use the IONAGE App to report a fault — select the station, report the issue, and our team is alerted immediately. You can also contact us through the Contact page. We aim to resolve or respond to all driver-reported faults within 24 hours.
On stations configured for standalone connect-and-charge mode, no app or account is required — simply plug in and your session starts automatically. On stations that require authentication, the IONAGE App (or an RFID card) is needed to initiate a session. The IONAGE App is free to download and takes under two minutes to set up.
All Weej Wala stations use Chargeway hardware — the EV charger brand of Sterling Green Power Solutions, manufactured in Silvassa. Chargeway produces both AC chargers (3.3 kW to 22 kW) and DC fast chargers (30 kW to 240 kW), certified to Indian standards and designed for the performance demands of commercial charging operations.
Weej Wala AC chargers use a Type 2 connector with a 5-metre cable. Weej Wala DC fast chargers support CCS2 and CHAdeMO — the two dominant DC fast charging connector standards for the current Indian EV market.
Yes. Chargeway hardware is manufactured in India (Silvassa), built to BIS certification standards, and OCPP compliant. All installations are conducted by qualified electricians to the applicable electrical safety standards.
Chargeway AC chargers support GSM, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connectivity. Chargeway DC fast chargers support GSM and Wi-Fi. The appropriate connectivity mode is configured during installation based on the site’s available network infrastructure.
IONAGE is the neutral, purpose-built EV charging software platform that powers all Weej Wala stations. For station owners (partners), IONAGE provides the Nexus management dashboard — real-time charger monitoring, session history, revenue reporting, energy consumption tracking, RFID and access management, and remote diagnostics. For EV drivers, IONAGE provides the consumer app for discovery, navigation, charging, and payment.
IONAGE Nexus is the end-to-end station management platform for charge point operators (CPOs). As a Weej Wala partner, your IONAGE Nexus dashboard is your command centre: you can see every charger’s real-time status, monitor active sessions, review historical session and revenue data, manage RFID access credentials, and receive alerts when a charger requires attention — all from your phone or browser without any technical expertise.
Yes. The IONAGE App is the consumer-facing application for EV drivers using Weej Wala and other IONAGE-connected charging stations. It allows drivers to discover nearby stations, check real-time availability, navigate to the station, initiate and monitor their charging session, and pay — all within a single app. It is free to download on iOS and Android.
